It was only a split second, but teen pop starlet Miley Cyrus was whisked into the Eagle Theater Tuesday morning for filming.
“I feel good about it,” said Pontiac resident Arthur Smith, sitting across the street watching the crews work behind security guards. “It brings in revenue.”
“It brings in recognition,” added fellow Pontiac resident Vi’ Dal Allen.
Cyrus and Demi Moore were in Pontiac Tuesday morning for their new movie, “LOL: Laughing Out Loud.
The film is a remake of a 2009 French movie of the same name and is about a a girl dealing with a breakup and a divorced mother simultaneously. It is scheduled to be released in 2011.
Marlo Thomas, who was born in Detroit, plays Moore’s mother in the comedy.
It’s written and directed by Lisa Azuelos, who also directed the original French version.
Thomas Jane and Gina Gershon also star in the movie.
