Miley Cyrus Makes 'Guinness World Records 2011'

Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, and Miley Cyrus are among the musical performers to earn a spot in the 2011 edition of Guinness World Records, out worldwide on September 16.

Lady Gaga earns two records in the new book, which is based on records broken within the 2009 calendar year. The pop star takes the post for "Most Searched-For Female" as recorded by Google, a record held by Sarah Palin in the 2010 edition, and replaces Oasis's 1996 record for "Most Weeks On UK Chart In Any Year," with her music spending a total of 154 weeks on the chart.

Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Beyoncé Knowles earned the title for the year's biggest "Power Couple," having earned a collective record-breaking $122 million through June 2009.

Teen pop singer Miley Cyrus enters the book as the "Most Charted Teenager" following her 29th US Billboard Hot 100 chart entry on November 7, 2009 with "Party in the USA."

Michael Jackson became the year's "Most Searched-For Male" after fans took to the internet following his death in 2009. A page in the new edition is devoted to the pop star, who reportedly received eight records over his lifetime for chart achievements, album sales, earnings, and charity donations.

First published in 1955, the Guinness World Records book is published in more than 100 countries and 25 languages and is a regular best-seller, with more than 3 million copies sold annually across the globe.
