Is Miley Cyrus A Good Fit For Glee?

After a successful first season on Fox, featuring the music of Lady Gaga and Madonna to name a few, Glee has fast become the “it” show among TV and music lovers. Given the popularity of Glee and the huge fan base of Miley Cyrus, would Miley be a good fit for Glee? Although Miley Cyrus has been a Disney girl, could the music of Miley work on Glee? How about Miley herself as a guest? Previews of Glee Season 2 have been released and Heather Morris as Cheerio Britney will finally get her chance to shine in the second episode, which features the music of Britney Spears.
So, why not Miley Cyrus? Although Miley has been working to shed the young image of Hanna Montana as Cyrus transitions into an adult, it’s interesting to wonder how big of a ratings draw Miley Cyrus would be on Glee.

Before you call us crazy, Miley Cyrus is still one of the most popular young stars on the planet. At the moment we’re witnessing Miley in transition and Glee is one of the most popular shows on the planet with the right demographic. Aside from contractual obligations, why couldn’t it work? After Hannah Montana and the leap to the big screen in Bolt (her voice) and The Last Song, with LOL due out in 2011, Miley Cyrus is a pro in front of the camera.

For some reason a Miley guest spot on Glee feels right. At least it would be a great pit stop for Miley on her way to adulthood.
