Miley Cyrus' 'Party In The U.S.A.' Video Trades Trailer Park For Drive-In

New clip plays off Miley's Nashville roots and pop sound.

Miley Cyrus debuted the music video for her single, "Party in the U.S.A." on Wednesday night (September 23). A 90-second snippet played during "Dancing with the Stars," and the full video is streaming on ABCmusiclounge.com for a 48-hour period.

The video is reminiscent of Cyrus' performance of the track on the Teen Choice Awards over the summer — minus the pole dancing. The clip, directed by Chris Applebaum, has Cyrus rocking short shorts, a black tank top, cowboy boots and a vest. Much of the video takes place in an abandoned drive-in movie theater and features dancers partying to Cyrus' track on vintage cars and pickup trucks, mixing the song's pop sound with visuals that reference her Tennessee roots, which is what she has said the song is about.

"'Party in the U.S.A.' is an all-American song, and so I come out tonight and I'm literally in a trailer park. It's a blinged-out trailer park," she explained to MTV News before her Teen Choice performance. "I'm like, 'This is to represent where I am from.' I'm so proud of it. All the girls trying to be Hollywood and stuff with their big glasses, me shooing them away. I love it. It's about my roots."

The track, produced by hitmaker Dr. Luke, is featured on Cyrus' hit EP Time of Our Lives. Cyrus is on her Wonder World tour, and it was just recently announced that her next movie, "The Last Song," was pushed back from January to April.
