"The Climb" Sang On Idol Tour

For the first group song, Andrew Garcia, Tim Urban and Didi Benami sit on stools, strumming acoustic guitars for Miley Cyrus’ The Climb. Soon they’re joined by Siobhan Magnus, Aaron Kelly (who auditioned with the song) and Katie Stevens. Lyrically, it’s an excellent song for an Idols tour, and it has its high points — especially when Aaron steps out from the pack for a solo (I’m telling you, this kid’s the real deal). The crowd responds in a big way, rising to its feet — but this kind of group sing makes for better memories than it does music.
